My name is Ali Awon, and I come from the small town of Matli in Sindh, Pakistan. My journey began as a registered nurse at Shifa International Hospital, where I dedicated over 12 years to nursing. Throughout my career, I cherished one dream: to work as a registered nurse in the UK NHS. However, the English proficiency test stood like a monster before me. I started researching the differences between IELTS and OET to determine which examination suits me best. Thank God that for a very short time, within that realization, I understood that OET is the right choice for my profession. With that decision taken, I started preparing alone by discussing it with those seniors who passed the OET successfully. This turned into frustration as I was already feeling lost in preparation.

Then a friend of mine, Azower, suggested joining M&M. He was very much pleased with his research regarding various academies and received quite a few recommendations from colleagues. At last, upon his advice, I joined M&M, and the rest is history. M&M played a pivotal role in my journey. I was impressed by M&M since the day I joined with their systematic approach: structured classes, regular mock exams, detailed feedback, personalized attention by the instructors—it was a very effective learning environment.

It was because of the credibility and support of Sir Ghaznavi and the whole M&M team that I could reach my goal, and I could secure the needful score in OET. The euphoria I went through on receipt of the results of my OET test is indescribable. But nothing could be compared to that next moment—the best ever moment in my life—receiving a job offer from an NHS Trust. The day was one of the biggest turning points in my life, culmination of all my efforts and the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

Today, two years down the line, I am proudly working as a registered nurse for the NHS, living the dream I once only wished for. I owe a deep sense of gratitude to the OET without which all of this would not have been possible and M&M for being an unswerving support all through. Their direction and advice were hugely instrumental in my accomplishment of achieving my life goal, and I’m so happy that I made the right choices on the way.
